Website design : case study for EDL - precision engineers
Background
EDL, a precision engineering company based in Lymington, Hampshire, already had a website. However, because it had been built eight years previously it looked old-fashioned and hadn't been updated with any new content for at least four years!
M35 Design's task
The website was totally rebuilt with new content using the latest industry standard techniques. A new 'Gallery' section was included showing examples of the engineering products built by EDL.
The website had new 'meta tags' and EDL now have a search engine optimisation and marketing package, which includes regular search engine positioning reports so that both they and M35 Design can monitor the effectiveness of their website and act accordingly, if necessary. The implementation of 'Google Analytics' code provides EDL with visitor tracking information, as well as details of search engine and website referrals to their site.
Website updates
M35 Design provides web site updates for EDL.
The future
Since EDL's new website went live the Company has gained search engine inclusion for key words / phrases that they weren't previously found under. They have seen new business via the website, and are keen to expand on the benefits their new site continues to bring.
Testimonial from EDL
"We are really pleased with the look and functionality of the new website and especially with the Gallery section, which shows off our engineering products to their best advantage. In fact, a new customer phoned today and actually made of point of saying how much he liked the website, and we hadn't even mentioned it prior to his comment!
We have been clients of M35 Design for about eight years and always find them to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We are very happy with the service that M35 Design provides for us."
