Website design : case study for Michael B hairdressers

Background

Michael B hairdressers, based at Lower Parkstone, Poole, wanted a website to promote their hairdressing services and new coffee lounge. Having extensively refurbished the interior and exterior of the hair salon, owner Michael also wanted to "catch up with the 21st Century!".

M35 design's task

Michael had no knowledge of the Web, nor of anything to do with IT. In basic layman's terms, M35 Design advised Michael what was needed and produced an initial design which Michael was delighted with. Handily, just prior to completion of the site Michael B's won the prestigious Poole in Bloom 2007's award for 'Best Permanent Planting Display for Innovation', which tied in nicely with the launch of the new web site in October 2007.

Michael B's has a search engine optimisation and marketing package, and the implementation of 'Google Analytics' code allows M35 design - in conjunction with Michael - to monitor visitor tracking information, as well as details of search engine and website referrals to the site.

The future

Michael is hoping that the web site will not only give him the edge over his competitors, but also help coach him into the 'brave new world' of IT and the Web!
