Website design : case study for Save the railways - campaign to keep parkstone station ticket office open
Background
Save The Railways was created to challenge the government's McNulty report, which wants to save money by shutting 675 nationwide railway ticket offices. Locally, these include Parkstone, Hamworthy, Branksome, Pokesdown, Wool and Lymington Town.
Implemtation of the recommendations will mean massive increases in fares, whilst ticket offices are closed and guards thrown off trains in an all out drive to boost the profits of the private train operators.
M35 Design's task
The website needed to be built swiftly in response to the government's intentions, and was created using WordPress.
Website updates
M35 Design updates the site on a regular basis, with news relating to the campaign and the McNulty report.
The future
