Facebook users will soon be able to ‘Dislike’ their friends’ posts, says it’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg told an audience at a Q & A session, held at Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California on 15th September 2015, that “People have asked about the ‘dislike’ button for many years”. He said he wanted a way for Facebook users to express empathy with their friends, e.g. at a negative event like a death, or something sad.

Zuckerberg said Facebook was “very close” to having the ‘Dislike’ button ready for user testing, although no date has officially been given for its launch.
